Ram Volleyball Off to Great Start in 2016

Unity, ME - The women's volleyball team is off to its best start in several years at 9-4.  The team had a rough start to the season losing their first 4 matches but has now found their groove winning their last nine matches. 

In conference play, the Rams sit in the top position at 6-0 with recent wins over UMaine Machias and Paul Smith's College.  In non-confernece play over the weekend, the women defeated USCAA oppoent SUNY-Delhi 3-1 and NCAA opponent Johnson State 3-0. 

Leading the way for the Rams are juniors Lindsey Morris, Jackie Collins, Mikayla Twiss and Chelsea Olson. Seniors Brianna DeAngelis and Jazmyn Atteberry along with sophomore Emily MacDonald have significant contributors to the teams success.  Freshmen Megan Flannery and Kaylee Lyon have both earned a lot of playing time with their offensive and defensive play.  

The Rams will play Husson College on Tuesday, September 27 at 7 pm in Tozier Gymnasium in a rematch of the season opener.
